Silkstone Seam Cheddar Truckle from Cryer & Stott is inspired by the mining heritage of their founding village, Allerton Bywater in Yorkshire. This mature cheddar is aged for 12 months to develop a rich, full-bodied flavour and firm, crumbly texture.
Running through the centre is a striking seam of edible charcoal, representing the famous Silkstone coal seam once mined in the area. The result is a distinctive and characterful cheddar that celebrates Yorkshire’s industrial history while delivering a bold, savoury cheese perfect for cheeseboards.
